SAN JOSE, Calif. - OPTICON - Native Networks, a developer of optical solutions for the access network, and LuxN, a developer of DWDM solutions for the metro network, will demonstrate interoperability between their products at the OPTICON 2001 conference and exhibition, 13 - 16 August, 2001 at the McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, CA; booths #215 and #321. The demonstration follows successful interoperability tests carried out between Native Networks' EtherMux-M(TM) optical transport platform and the LuxN WavFarer DWDM system. The testing demonstrated end-to-end, error-free transmission of high-bandwidth packet traffic over multiple wavelengths on the WavFarer WDM system as well as recovery and other features implemented by both companies' equipment. The tests were carried out between the EtherMux-M OC-48c/STM-16 SONET/SDH interface from Native Networks and LuxN's WavFarer Optical Channel Module (OCM).
