PHOENIX -- Optical components and subsystemsmanufacturer Micro Photonix Integration Corporation (MPI) todayannounced the introduction of its OC-192 Transmitter. Comprised of MPI’slithium niobate-based external modulator, active bias control circuitand the newly introduced OC-192 RF Amplifier, the unit comes in acompact, MSA-sized package. The OC-192 Transmitter is available with orwithout a laser light source to allow customers maximum flexibility. Thetransmitter will be marketed along with MPI’s existing OC-192 modulatorand OC-192 RF Amplifier product lines. MPI will demonstrate the unit atthe Optical Fiber Conference March 19-21 in Anaheim, Calif.
