MPI Launches OC192 Transmitter

PHOENIX -- Optical components and subsystems manufacturer Micro Photonix Integration Corporation (MPI) today announced the introduction of its OC-192 Transmitter. Comprised of MPI’s lithium niobate-based external modulator, active bias control circuit and the newly introduced OC-192 RF Amplifier, the unit comes in a compact, MSA-sized package. The OC-192 Transmitter is available with or without a laser light source to allow customers maximum flexibility. The transmitter will be marketed along with MPI’s existing OC-192 modulator and OC-192 RF Amplifier product lines. MPI will demonstrate the unit at the Optical Fiber Conference March 19-21 in Anaheim, Calif.

“The OC-192 Transmitter marks another step in MPI’s development as both a component and subsystems company,” said Henry Hung, MPI’s founder and CEO. “We believe our customers will continue to demand the superior combination of price and performance that our integrated solutions deliver.”
