LITTLE FALLS, N.J. -- mPhase Technologies (OTCBB: XDSL) today announced that it has formed an alliance with Tilgin to integrate its set top box technology with the mPhase TV+ System middleware that it markets to broadband operators as a pre-configured system to support interactive IPTV services.

The new integrated Tilgin capability provides operators the assurance that the mPhase TV+ System will be able to benefit from the newest available features in Tilgin's leading edge set-top boxes.

"First and foremost we are collaborating to give service providers trouble-free integration of software and hardware components in an open framework," noted Phil Thompson, executive vice president-product management for mPhase. "The alliance with Tilgin not only addresses this customer requirement, but also assures the return on investment with advanced set top boxes."

The Tilgin integration is the latest in a series of alliances mPhase has spearheaded to integrate critical, carrier-class IPTV functions as part of its open TV+ System architecture. In June 2006 mPhase announced the availability of its middleware with an integrated content authentication (CA) system from Latens, which is already integrated with Tilgin's technology.

"We're pleased to extend the capabilities of our IP set-top boxes to include support for mPhase," said Fredrik Antonsen, VP Product Management, Tilgin. "Our Mood Development Kit eases the task of integration into systems like mPhase's, providing carriers greater flexibility in selecting vendor partners for their IPTV deployments. We value mPhase's selection of Tilgin as one of its solution partners."
