Strix Retracts Some NTT Claims

Wireless mesh startup Strix Systems Inc. has issued a retraction of some its statements about the major Japanese deal with NTT Data Corp. subsidiary, NTT West, it announced earlier this month. (See Strix Wins at NTT West.)
The brief statement retracts information that was "inaccurate or [issued] without full authorization of NTT West, such as '100 cities', 'population of 50 million'. Strix would support system integration business by NTT West, however, Strix products will not cover infrastructure of service provider business in NTT West," the statement notes.
It appears Strix may have overstepped the mark in initially talking too much about NTT's plans. (See Strix Wins Big Japanese Mesh Deal.)
It may also be that Strix is not the only vendor NTT is involved with on this project.
