In the second half of 2007, when "slimmer and smaller" emerged as a new trend for terminals, Huawei set the pace by launching the E170, the world's first HSUPA USB stick.

In 2007, Huawei shipped 40 million terminal products, including handsets, datacards, fixed wireless terminals and gateways. Contract sales for the Terminals division totaled US$2.5 billion last year. To date, Huawei has captured significant market share in mobile broadband devices, shipping a total of eight million devices, predominantly to Europe, the US and Japan.
