TORONTO -- Celestica, a world leader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) will showcase its industry leading Remote Radio Head (RRH) solutions accelerator offering at WiMAX World, October 10 -12 in Boston.

A fully functional high-power radio transceiver module assembly, the RRH is compliant with the Intel NetStructure® WiMAX Baseband Card ? an integrated hardware and software building block for transport, control and baseband that can be used to develop a software upgradeable WiMAX base station. The pre-invested RRH solution is interoperable with the current Intel solution and also the software upgrade to 802.16e-2005. Compliant with OBSAI and CPRI, the 3.5 GHZ RRH can be customized for other frequencies and for fixed, nomadic and mobile WiMAX requirements.

As part of the company?s solutions accelerator roadmap, the RRH is a modular solution designed to be modified to meet customers? unique market requirements. The product was created to help Celestica?s customers to become more competitive, without competing with their product offerings.
