NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- Nomadix, Inc. (http://www.Nomadix.com), the leading supplier of intelligent network devices and interconnect services for guest access, digital cities, and carrier HotSpots, and Thames Online (http://www.thamesonline.com), a leading U.K. wireless internet service provider, today announced a partnership that has deployed a municipal Wi-Fi mesh network along the River Thames in London. The deal provides a first-class service, optimized for heavy and multi-faceted use.

``The River Thames deployment is the first of its kind, and runs through the heart of one of the world's most famous cities,'' said Andy Coney, commercial director of Thames Online. ``Due to the high-profile nature of the project, our partners must have best-in-breed technology. Nomadix' products are renowned worldwide for their security, scalability, reliability, and ease-of-use. We are pleased to be working together.''

Thames Online is a joint venture between Meshhopper WiFi Networks Limited (http://www.meshhopper.com) and code Creation Limited (http://www.codecreation.com). The River Thames mesh network provides blanket WiFi coverage to users along an eight mile stretch of the river-from the Houses of Parliament to Canary Wharf, the key financial district. The service is also accessible from river boat ferries.

The Nomadix Service Engine(tm) (NSE) resides in venue, carrier, or service provider infrastructure to enable connectivity in public access environments. Embedded on the NSE itself, Nomadix' patented gateway software immediately and invisibly adapts to a computer's settings to enable a secure, easy-to-use connection. In addition, NSE software creates a unique service creation environment, and supports a variety of revenue-generating mechanisms for operators. Since its inception, Nomadix has shipped 25,000 NSE-enabled units to customers in over 60 countries.

``Metropolitan Wi-Fi deployments continue to be an important growth market for Nomadix,'' said Kurt Bauer, president and CEO of Nomadix. ``The Thames Online deployment is an innovative and sophisticated network. Its high-end performance will be an important showcase for both companies' products and services.''
