Beceem Touts Partnerships

BOSTON -- Beceem Communications (www.beceem.com) today announced key product and development relationships that are accelerating trials and deployments of Mobile WiMAX networks around the world. Activities revealed at the WiMAX World USA show include:

-- The launch of China's first Mobile WiMAX solution by ZTE using Beceem's MS120 chipset and a joint development relationship with ZTE. ZTE is China's leading global wireless equipment provider and system integrator.

-- The launch of a low-cost Wireless Broadband modem that is using Beceem's MS120 chipset. Accton is one of Taiwan's leading ODMs and the global premier provider of networking and communications equipment.

-- A live mobility hand-off demonstration between Motorola's WiMAX infrastructure and a Beceem chipset/PC card, underscoring how well mobile WiMAX performs when combining broadband speeds with seamless mobility.
