Fujitsu has developed the Smart xHaul solution for WDM-based fronthaul, midhaul and backhaul transport in 4G C-RAN and new 5G networks. To manage new high-bandwidth, low-latency use cases, this open solution is being expanded to include advanced technologies like time-sensitive networking, O-RAN gateways, and cloud control plane with virtualization and MPLS segment routing. Combined with the Virtuora ecosystem for SDN-based network management, control, orchestration and OSS integration, Fujitsu will provide a seamless, scalable transition to 5G transport.
