Come with me and experience the faded glory of CTIA Super Mobility Week in pictures one last time!

The show didn't break much new ground this year, although there was a lot of talk about 5G. In fact, it was largely overshadowed by the Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone launch.

Still click below to see the pictures.

Speed & Loathing in Las Vegas
Ericsson's live 5G test was always kicking around the 13Gbit/s mark or above every time I walked past.

The GSMA will take the CTIA in hand next year. The show is moving to San Francisco. Will it fare better in the Bay Area? We'll be there to find out. (See CTIA: See Ya, Las Vegas!.)

Smartphone stalls, unicorns and rockets, what more could one ask for, except perhaps that other big events (hello Apple) would not be ongoing at the same time!

CTIA
Was it just my imagination, but was there fewer big announcements out of CTIA This year? Seems like it was a quieter event for the news cycle than years' past.
