FCC 5G Auction Now at $490.7M in Bids

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 's initial 28GHz millimeter wave (mmWave) 5G auction has now hit $490.7 billion in bids in the 11th day of active action rounds.

The agency's auction dashboard lists 2,717 auctions with provisionally winning bids (PWBs). The FCC still holds 355 licenses.

The auction is due to continue until no more bids are received. There's a full slate of bidding rounds lined up for tomorrow.
