Will Cox Kick Some Apps?

Cox Communications Inc. has been tightlipped about what bells and whistles will grace its upcoming wireless service, but it's becoming increasingly evident that it intends to borrow a page from the Apple Inc. Cox is already taking on the daunting task of building its own 3G network, with the intention of migrating to 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology, but its ambitions evidently go well beyond that. In addition to mixing in mobile video services, the MSO is reportedly mulling an app store in partnership with mPortal Inc.
