OK.  It's the end of the week.  Here is more than a hint:

The next question is a lot more straightforward: Despite being an NFL & FiOS city, why is Buffalo, NY not on the initial Verizon 4G list?

The company is prominently connected with Verizon.

An interesting answer.  But I am thinking more in terms of a telecom company located in the city.

Verizon launched FiOS in Keller, Texas. So I'm going to go with: They like smallish cities with bad hotels.

Good answer, but not the one I was looking for.

No review unit for me either, but taking a ride in the LTE minivan (or limo, hopefully) tomorrow. I'll try to take some shaky Flip footage of the ride.

Anyone need two guesses as to why Verizon chose Rochester, NY?

Review unit? Heh, no.

At this point it seems to expensive for all but the road warriors who travel all the time.  I myself am thinking of dumping Verizon so I can afford to have a smart phone.  Sprint is looking mighty tempting at this point.

Have you snagged a review unit?

What's your perspective on the pricing? Seems underwhelming and expensive.

It was a surprise, given how much their own executives have hinted about speed caps and tiered options. Melone said they wanted to keep it simple to start with. The $50 plan is actually $9.99 cheaper than the equivalent 3G plan they offer.

Say they will talk more about consumer devices at CES. Sticking with the "by mid-year" 2011 deadline for LTE smartphones

2 usb modems from LG and Pantech for $99.99 each. More modems coming soon.

5GB for $50 a month

10GB for $80 a month

$10 overage for an extra 1GB

w/ a standard 2 year contract
