Verizon Suffers an LTE Outage?
The full extent and duration of any service disruption is not known at this stage, not least because there has been no official word yet from Verizon on the outage. A search on Twitter reveals disgruntled users, but no confirmation or explanation from Verizon Wireless about a service outage.
While the exact details are still unclear, it wouldn't be the first time Verizon Wireless's LTE network has gone down. In April, the operator suffered an outage that was believed to be caused by an overloaded home subscriber server (HSS) supplied by Nokia Networks .
