T-Mobile Talks to Harbinger

9:15 AM -- T-Mobile US Inc. has had initial talks with Harbinger Capital Partners LP about using the private equity firm's planned Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to deliver mobile broadband services in the US, according to a report in the Financial Times.

Harbinger, which is the newest LTE player on the US mobile broadband scene, plans to build out a national LTE network and sell capacity on a wholesale basis to mobile service providers rather than offer services directly to consumers. T-Mobile has not made any decisions regarding Harbinger, according to the report, but the carrier is looking for ways to deliver LTE services.
