BEIJING -- Nokia Networks has recently been ranked a leader in China Mobile’s quality assessment of its commercial TD-LTE network. The operator has developed a rigorous evaluation program* of its vendor deployments in all the major cities and provinces across China. The results showed a clear advantage for Nokia Networks, which has provided the best network performance as well as the fastest network implementation, measured across the top 10 provincial capitals.
The city of Fuzhou, with a TD-LTE network supplied by Nokia Networks, was the first to launch live TD-LTE for China Mobile. The Fuzhou network also achieved excellent quality, the best in the country, based on performance metrics such as network coverage, interference level, voice and data quality**. Currently, Nokia Networks supplies TD-LTE technology to 18 out of the 31 provinces of China Mobile.
The successful rollout of the new technology has been enabled by expert planning, optimization and project management services from Nokia Networks.
“The China Mobile study proves that Nokia Networks is providing best-in-class network performance in commercial TD-LTE networks,” said Xue Rui, head of delivery of Greater China region at Nokia Networks. “We are delighted to offer China Mobile top network quality for an unmatched customer experience and a seamless rollout that translates to fast availability of user services.”
