LTE: Heating Up the Global Mobile Market

It's safe to say that 4G LTE is now truly a global phenomenon, but the path to get there is different in different markets. (See: EE Switches On LTE-Advanced in UK, T-Mobile Adds 1M Subs, Plots Faster 4G , Sprint Plans to Add 4G LTE Urban Heft in 2014, and NSN, Juniper Strengthen Mobile Ties.)

Most developed markets are evolving their 3G networks to the faster 4G technology, while those in some developing markets are leapfrogging right from 2G to 4G. Others, still, are just working on getting 3G deployed now. (See: Grameenphone Begins 3G Rollout .)
