JAKARTA -- Indosat Ooredoo (Indosat), one of Indonesia's largest telecommunication networks and services providers, has selected Nokia Networks to power its LTE-Advanced network. As part of the contract, Nokia Networks' Global Services team is deploying LTE base stations in key cities across the designated regions. The team has also aggregated two carriers in the 900 and 1800 MHz spectrum bands to deliver up to 150 Mbps downlink speed to Indosat's subscribers in the Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan regions. Customers can now enjoy a wide range of data-intensive services like multimedia streaming, online games, cloud storage and video conferencing.

Solutions and services delivered by Nokia Networks:

  • Network planning and optimization, design and implementation services, as well as hardware services

    • Single RAN Advanced radio access, including Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Stations

    • Software to aggregate LTE carriers in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz spectrum bands

    • NetAct, a virtualized OSS for effective and consolidated monitoring and optimization of Indosat's LTE-A network
