CTIA: It's Still About LTE
I'm hoping to see more news from Verizon about its long-awaited LTE launch. There's a rumor that the operator will now launch the service in December. I'm hoping that CEO Lowell McAdam will talk more about tiered pricing for the new service.
We'll also see whether Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) will talk about TD-LTE in its much-promoted event with CEO Dan Hesse at the show.
Taken in combo with the upcoming 4G World show, I suspect we're coming to the end of the early hype cycle for LTE. Soon we'll get to compare what several networks around the world can actually do in the wild with the new technology.
What are you looking for from the CTIA show?

Interesting tidbit from an LTE panel here at the CTIA pre-conference. Analyst Andrew Seybold says the best LTE apps will be built for 2.5G, so they'll work great on 3G and "fly on LTE."
