LAS VEGAS -- 2011 International CES -- AT&T said it will debut 12 new Android-powered devices in 2011 while speeding up its plans to go from HSPA+ to Long Term Evolution (LTE). As the 2011 International CES revs up, here are some images from yesterday's developer fun-fest. Click any of the pics below to launch a slideshow. re: CES 2011: Photos From the AT&T Developer Summit

I attended the ATT DevCon and learned some key factors that will influence the wireless market going forward.

1) 4G / LTE increased bandwidth will exponentially increase the number of applications available, especially for games

2) The business user (guys like me who pay $180/mo for mobile service) are a stable base of revenue but not a fast growing segment of ATT Mobility revenue. The growth curve is built on social networking an especially gaming users, which is why 4G is important.

3) 4G / LTE is not live and will be available "sometime in 2011".

I could list more tidbits but for what they're paying me to write this .........:-)
