MWC 2009: Nokia Siemens Booth Tour

What exactly do the main mobile network infrastructure vendors do when they're approached at a show like last week's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and asked to give an interested visitor a 20-minute guided tour highlighting the major technologies and topics of interest?

Light Reading decided to find out this year by giving five companies -- Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU), Ericsson AB (Nasdaq: ERIC), Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. , Nokia Networks , and Nortel Networks Ltd. -- 20 minutes each to give us their best.

The results, as you might expect, were variable, in terms of content, presentation, and logistics, despite days of notice on our part.

Here's the first stand tour -- Nokia Siemens Networks. Housed in Hall 8 on the Barcelona show grounds, the company this year was as focused on the impact of mobile developments on individuals, operators, and the world at large, as it was on the technology it had to offer:
