Xirrus launches 'Trade-Up to Xirrus' Program offering rebates on legacy wireless access points
November 30, 2005
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Xirrus, Inc., creators of the next-generation Wireless LAN Array, has launched a new “Trade-Up to Xirrus” Program offering rebates on legacy wireless access points to companies migrating to the Xirrus next-generation Wi-Fi architecture. Effective through March 2006, customers can earn a $100 rebate for each third-party WLAN access point traded in when purchasing any Xirrus Wireless LAN Array.
“Many companies have deployed legacy Wi-Fi equipment that can no longer support the increased number of clients and applications available today,” said John DiGiovanni, Director of Marketing for Xirrus. “Our new Trade-Up to Xirrus Program allows companies to recoup some of their investment in older technology and equipment while providing an incentive to experience the technical and economic benefits of deploying Xirrus Wi-Fi gear.”
Early this year, Xirrus introduced the Wireless LAN Array combining a WLAN switch and up to 16 Integrated Access Points in a single device. The Wireless LAN Array architecture delivers Gigabit-class Wi-Fi bandwidth over an extended coverage area. The Xirrus approach simplifies the design, deployment and management of enterprise Wi-Fi networks while maximizing the amount of bandwidth available to end users.
