Westinghouse selects Sprint as its primary carrier for IP, private line, and Frame Relay data as well as voice services

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Sprint (NYSE: FON - News, PCS - News) and Westinghouse today announced the implementation of a multiyear, multimillion-dollar agreement through which Sprint is providing a wide array of new data and voice services as Westinghouse seeks to consolidate its communications and operate its network even more efficiently. The agreement will enable Westinghouse to focus on its core businesses and reduce its communications costs while relying on Sprint to power its global network.

Westinghouse selected Sprint as its primary carrier for a wide range of voice and data services. Westinghouse will employ extensive global and domestic Internet Protocol (IP), private line and frame relay data services. Sprint will also offer collaborative services, like audio conferencing, and global and domestic voice service.

"With the implementation of Sprint's network services nearly complete, we anticipate that our communications will operate more efficiently and effectively than ever before."
