Vonage and Motorola announce a co-branded Internet telephone adaptor with wireless router

HOLMDEL, N.J. -- Vonage and Motorolatoday announced the release of a new wireless router that will make it easyfor customers to use fax, telephone and Internet services at the same time.Motorola, known for its innovation and leadership in wireless and broadbandcommunications, developed the VT2542 to meet the sophisticated needs ofVonage's customers. The VT2542 enables Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephony andincludes a 4-port wired and 802.11 b/g wireless access point for homenetworking connectivity. This new device is available athttp://www.vonage.com for $59.99 after a $40 instant rebate ($99.00 -$40.00=$59.99) (a $9.95 shipping and handling fee and a $29.99 activation fee ischarged).

The Motorola VT2542 Internet Phone Adapter & Wireless Router canconnect up to two (2) Vonage lines, including telephone and fax, through ahigh-speed Cable or DSL Internet connection. It also contains four EthernetLocal Area Network (LAN) ports and an 802.11b/g Wireless port foradditional computers or other network devices. The Motorola VT2542 enablescustomers to use their Internet connection for their computer and phones atthe same time, and is perfect for consumers who want the added advantage ofeasily setting up a secure wireless network.
