CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- US LEC Corp. (Nasdaq: CLEC), a super-regional telecommunications carrier providing integrated voice, data and Internet services to businesses, has elected Michael C. Mac Donald, president of the North American Solutions Group (NASG) for Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX), as the eighth member of its board of directors.
"Mr. Mac Donald joins US LEC's board at a time when the company is experiencing phenomenal growth," said Aaron Cowell, US LEC's president and CEO. "He brings with him a commitment to succeed that will be invaluable as we continue building US LEC as the premier telecommunications partner for businesses throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Mac Donald's organization is responsible for all products, services and solutions sold by the Xerox direct sales force in the United States and Canada. Mac Donald joined Xerox in 1977 as a sales representative and has been promoted to increasingly responsible positions. Mac Donald is also on the board of directors of Medifast, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Jimmy V Foundation and the board of trustees and overseers of Rutgers University. He is also a member of the Rutgers Alumni Association.
