U4EA Technologies expands management team with VP of software engineering and VP of business development

FREMONT, Calif. -- U4EA Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of integrated access technology for converged communications, today announced the company has added two key executives, a vice president of software engineering and vice president of business development, to its management team. The executives bring a combined 45 years of networking and telecom experience to the company, and will play critical roles in the development, expansion and adoption of U4EA’s multi-service business gateway (MSBG) product line.
Mats Lundberg will take on the role of vice president of business development, while Pran Haran will serve as vice president of software engineering.
Lundberg has 25 years of telecommunication experience within three continents, having most recently worked as new sales director and VP of business development at Ericsson Inc. US, where he was responsible for development of new business with an emphasis towards AT&T. Lundberg’s expertise includes new business models and end-to-end solutions for Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) using IP Multimedia Systems (IMS). Lundberg has held numerous business development, marketing and sales positions on both the wireline and wireless side of Ericsson in the US, South America and Sweden. He holds a Bachelors in Engineering from Zimmermanska University in Sweden and a Masters in Computer Science from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden
Haran has more than 20 years of experience in engineering management, with a proven track record in delivering products and managing rapid revenue growth for product lines. Most recently, Haran served as vice president of engineering for Meru Networks, where he developed the company’s first high performance 802.11 a/b/g access points and software supporting network security, QOS support and VOIP call support. Haran was also co-founder of IPMind Software, a company that developed VOIP and Skype support on handheld devices such PDAs and low power embedded devices. Additionally, Haran has held VP of engineering roles at Solectron Technology Solutions Business Unit and Omnitel. He holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and a B.Tech in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology.
