Telefónica UK has appointed James Waterworth as regulatory and government affairs manager to support efforts for regulatory change

LONDON -- Telefónica UK Limited today announced the appointment of James Waterworth as regulatory & government affairs manager.In this newly created role, Waterworth will provide strategic support for Telefónica UK's wholesale ISP and corporate IP VPN product development process, driving forward efforts to introduce regulatory change into the UK telecommunications marketplace.

This appointment signifies Telefónica UK's commitment to supporting innovation and helping to develop broadband services in the UK. Waterworth aims to achieve this goal through regular lobbying of Ofcom, the Government and the European Commission. He will join members of the UK Competitive Telecommunications Association (UKCTA) in fostering a genuinely competitive broadband market.
