Telefónica Wins Euro Services Deal

Around 10,000 employees equipped with mobile communications and data cards from O2/Telefónica

MUNICH and HANOVER -- A major contract for Telefónica: Celesio, one of the leading trading companies and service providers within the pharmaceutical market worldwide, will be relying with immediate effect on O2 and Telefónica for its data and voice mobile communications in Europe. The framework agreement covers 14 European countries. The successful conclusion of this agreement underscores the growing significance of multinational corporate clients for the Telefónica group.

The framework agreement between Telefónica and Celesio includes mobile communications and data cards at first in Germany as well as in Belgium, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and the Czech Republic. Telefónica operates its own networks in many of these countries. In the remaining regions, agreements are concluded with partner companies.
