Tejas Networks India wins government award for excellence in electronics R&D

BANGALORE, India -- Tejas Networks India Ltd., a leader in next-generation SDH/SONET products today announced today that it has received the prestigious annual Award for Excellence in R&D in Electronics, conferred by the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India.

The award was presented by the Hon'ble Minister for Communications & Information Technology, Shri Dayanidhi Maran at a special ceremony held earlier today. Tejas Networks is one of the first of a new breed of technology companies founded in India, that are harnessing the talent and R&D expertise in India to build world-class products. Tejas Networks designs, develops and sells optical networking equipment to telecommunications operators worldwide. Tejas Networks has emerged as one of the leading global supplier of a new generation of optical networking products that is enabling service providers to provision new services faster, at lower cost, and with greater reliability
