Tadiran Telecom announces appointment of Larry Steinmetz as the company's new president

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. -- Tadiran Telecom Inc., a global leader in the telecommunications industry, announces the appointment of Larry Steinmetz as the company's new president. Former president Ron Bregman will continue to serve as CEO and chairman of the company's board.Steinmetz, who has been the company's executive vice president, sales and marketing since January 2002, also was recently named to sit on the Board of Directors of Tadiran Telecom Inc. Prior to Tadiran, Steinmetz was president of Vodavi Communications Systems, senior vice president of sales, Comdial Corp., and president of e-Digital Systems."Larry's 23 years in the telecom industry, his experience in senior management positions and his ability to keep sales efforts focused on steady growth have been instrumental to Tadiran's success," said Ron Bregman, CEO of Tadiran. "For many companies, the sour economy has negatively impacted their business. At Tadiran, we have enjoyed a prosperous year and realized many of the company's goals -- some of which included the expansion of our distribution network and the relocation of our U.S. corporate headquarters to New York."Additionally, the company announced the promotions of Ernie Meadows to the position of executive vice president and general manager; Gabi Ayalon to vice president, engineering and product management; and Tom Grinde to vice president of sales.Tadiran Telecom Inc.
