Sony Ericsson P1i phone now comes with iSkoot software for mobile Skype

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- iSkoot today announced that theiSkoot mobile software is now available on Sony Ericsson's newest handsetrelease, the Sony Ericsson P1i, which launched recently. The iSkoot mobilesoftware is available to Sony Ericsson P1i users via a direct downloadservice through the "More Applications" icon in the Phone User Interface.The iSkoot mobile software is now also available from the Sony Ericssonwebsite, www.sonyericsson.com. Sony Ericsson is supporting iSkoot todeliver mobile Skype features to its customers around the world.

iSkoot's solution supports the Skype Software, and the collaboration betweenthe two companies will offer Sony Ericsson users on any cellular network theability to make Skype-to-Skype calls on their mobile phone at the same costas making a local call (depending on mobile user's call plan, normal airtimeand data charges may apply), and receive Skype calls at Skype's callforwarding rates for mobile numbers. This collaboration benefits SonyEricsson customers worldwide and also generates value for carriers bybringing incremental minutes onto the mobile networks.
