Riverstone Names Internal Audit VP

Mark Tisdel named as vice president of internal audit, responsible for testing of Riverstone's compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Riverstone Networks(Pink Sheets: RSTN) today announced that Mark Tisdel has been appointed toserve as its Vice President of Internal Audit. In this newly created role,Mr. Tisdel is responsible for the on-going testing of the company's compliancewith the internal controls requirements of the federal Sarbanes Oxley Act. Hewill also develop audit plans to support the continuous improvement andscalability of the Riverstone's internal controls.

Prior to joining Riverstone, Mr. Tisdel served as Senior Director of theGlobal Shared Service Center at PeopleSoft, Inc., overseeing all transactionalprocessing and accounting, and assisting in the financial systems and dataintegration of JD Edwards. At PeopleSoft, Mr. Tisdel also held roles inFinancial Planning and as a Business Unit Controller. Additionally, he hasheld finance positions at Warpspeed Communications, Pacific Bell Internet andGTE. Mr. Tisdel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Accountingfrom Clarkson University and an MBA in Finance from Wake Forest University.
