PT Telkom selects TRG for first WiMax deployment in Indonesia

JAKARTA, and PITT MEADOWS, B.C. -- Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT) -PT. Teknologi Riset Global (TRG), an affiliate company of leading telecommunication infrastructure provider the Indonesian Tower Group, has been selected by PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. (Telkom) to deploy a complete WiMAX solution across Indonesia. The Telkom deployment is in support of the recent Indonesian ministry decree to migrate existing services operating at 3.5GHz to the 3.3GHz spectrum while adhering to the 802.16d standard. Telkom has already deployed the TRG WiMAX solution in the four regions of West Java, Jakarta, Sumatra Island and Kalimantan Island.
TRG and Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT), a premier manufacturer of wireless broadband and WiMAX communication systems based in British Columbia, Canada, have been collaborating on a family of WiMAX equipment which are incorporated into TRG's total WiMAX solution and targeted for Indonesian carriers with licensed spectrum at 2.3 GHz and 3.3GHz. In support of the government's requirement to develop local telecommunications capability, the jointly developed products are produced in Jakarta, Bandung and Batam, Indonesia. TRG's WiMAX product family, including the subscriber station and base station, have passed the local content requirement per the audit results by Surveyor Indonesia.
