PHILADELPHIA and ATLANTA -- Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSK, CMCSA), the nation’s leading provider of entertainment, information and communications, is proud to announce that Cathy Avgiris, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Voice Services, Comcast Cable, has been honored as one of the “Top 15 Women in Business – The Innovators” by PINK magazine, the national magazine for professional women. PINK’s exclusive list is featured in their March/April issue, and profiles the most influential women driving innovation (and revenue) in corporate America.

In her role, Avgiris oversees all aspects of Comcast’s voice business. Under Avgiris’ leadership, Comcast has grown to become the fourth-largest residential phone service provider in the United States, a milestone achieved in less than three years since officially launching Comcast Digital Voice®.

“It is certainly fitting for Cathy Avgiris to be part of this amazing list of female leaders and innovators, as she has transformed the way people view their phone experience and continues to be a visionary in this space,” said David Juliano, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Product Development, Comcast Cable. “She is truly a pioneer, role model and leader whose influence extends far beyond the phone business.”
