Path 1 showcases broadcast video gateways at N+I and CATV

TOKYO -- Path 1 Network Technologies Inc. (Amex: PNO), a leading provider of products that enable the transmission of broadcast-quality video over IP networks, announced today that the company will be showcasing its cutting edge video over IP gateways at a series of upcoming tradeshows in Japan. Collaborating with Frontiers Co. Ltd., Path 1's Japanese reseller, and other systems integrators serving Asia, Path 1 products will be on display at NetWorld+Interop Tokyo (N+I) (Booth #5B05, Tokyo, Japan, June 8-10.) and Japan Cable Television Expo 2005 (CATV) (Tokyo, Japan, June 15-17.)
At each event, Path 1 will combine its products with equipment from other leading broadcast and networking manufacturers in a series of live, real-time demonstrations designed to show the viability and benefits of terrestrial IP transport of digital video in different cable television and live broadcast applications.
At N+I, Asia's largest integrated networking exhibition, Path 1 will showcase its Pro-MPEG compliant Vx8000, a multi-port, bi-directional video over IP gateway designed for live broadcast applications. Path 1's Vx8000 will be featured in the Nortel Networks booth (Booth # 5B05). In addition, Nortel will showcase the HD x1000 e/d, a cutting-edge broadcast video product co-developed by Path 1 and Frontiers Co. Ltd. The HD x1000 e/d is the first integrated high-definition (HD) and standard-definition (SD) MPEG-2 encoder and decoder to use a built-in Path 1 IP video gateway which comes equipped with industry leading Forward Error Correction (FEC) technology to protect and deliver video over IP networks.
At CATV, Path 1 will demonstrate its full line of long-haul video over IP gateways in multiple locations on the exhibit floor. This includes @NetHome (Booth # S02), NetOne Systems (Booth # H61), Kadenko (Booth # H79) and Nittsuki Co. Ltd. (Booth # H75).
