MODI'IN, Israel -- Redux Communications, the world leader in TDM over Packet chip solutions, announced today a partnership with Yoda Communications, Inc. in Taiwan to implement a low-cost TDM over Packet media converter -- the Galaxy 1600. Powered by Redux's RS-160, the Galaxy 1600 is a compact, telecom-grade system for transporting E1/T1 circuits over wired and wireless packet networks. Yoda Communications is now showing its Galaxy 1600 media converter in COMPUTEX show, Taipei 2003, Sept. 22-26 in booth G020, Area A21, Hall 3.

Yoda's Galaxy 1600, scheduled for shipping by the end of 2003, allows new telecom carriers, system integrators and enterprises to maintain existing investments in E1/T1 equipment while leveraging the low-cost of wired and wireless packet networks.

Redux's RS-160 is a special-purpose wire-speed TDM over Packet traffic processor, featuring in-band clock recovery and flexible architecture. The RS-160 is designed for rapid integration into any networking or telephony switching device, optimizing it for the emerging market of Ethernet First Mile services.
