Paradyne Adds Walker to Board
Paradyne Networks appoints former Arthur Andersen partner David Walker to its board of birectors

LARGO, Fla. -- Paradyne Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:PDYN), a leading provider of broadband voice, data and video network access solutions, today announced that David Walker has been appointed to its Board of Directors as a Class III director to serve until the 2005 annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. Walker will also serve as Chairman of its Audit Committee.
Mr. Walker served with Arthur Andersen L.L.P. from 1975 through 2002, and as a partner in the firm from 1986 through 2002. Mr. Walker is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Walker is currently on the faculty of University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, teaching accounting, and serves as Director of the Program for Social Responsibility and Corporate Reporting in the College of Business at USF. Mr. Walker also serves as a consultant on corporate governance matters.
