Key technology for broadcasters brings new dimension to OpenTV offering

SAN FRANCISCO -- OpenTV Corp. (NASDAQ:OPTV), a leading provider of advanced television and advanced advertising services, announced today that it has acquired Ruzz TV Pty Ltd, a privately-held company based in Sydney, Australia that provides turnkey software solutions for television broadcasters. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Ruzz TV is an innovative provider of high-quality technology solutions for broadcasters,” said Ben Bennett, OpenTV’s Chief Executive Officer. “With this acquisition, we are excited to complement our products and offer broadcasters around the world the right components to manage their workflow and content processes quickly and efficiently.”
