Authentication system will be able to secure access to online services such as home banking

PARIS -- Oberthur Technologies, one of the world’s leaders in secure technologies, has been selected by PosteMobile, leading MVNO in Italy, as technological partner to implement its strong authentication offer.
With Oberthur Technologies’ authentication solution, PosteMobile will be able to secure access to online services such as home banking.In addition to classic credentials – login and password - the Oberthur Technologies’ Smart Authentication solution, in parallel to benefiting from the convenience of the mobile phone, the authentication solution offers two possibilities: the one-time-password is either sent by SMS or securely generated by the SIM card itself using the SIM OTP1 application developed by Oberthur Technologies. Equipped with the latest SIM card application or not, every PosteMobile customer is able to connect securely to his personal webpage.
