BOSTON and NEW YORK -- MobileSphere, a leading provider of global wireless communications solutions, and XE Mobile, a pay-as-you-go MVNO targeting college students, today announced a marketing agreement that calls for XE Mobile to deploy MobileSphere's CarrierILD(TM) solution for international wireless calling to its subscriber base. MobileSphere will also promote XE Mobile services through MobileSphere's extensive university channel.

"We are pleased to have been selected by XE Mobile to provide its subscribers with low-cost, direct dial international long distance," commented Gavin Macomber, executive vice president of marketing for MobileSphere. "We also look forward to marketing XE Mobile phones and plans through MobileSphere's extensive university partnerships."

Under the agreement, XE Mobile will offer MobileSphere's innovative international long distance (ILD) solution to its subscriber base. MobileSphere's fully-integrated CarrierILD service will enable direct dial international calling from any XE Mobile phone at significantly reduced rates.

MobileSphere will also promote XE Mobile services through MobileSphere's web portals located on more than 20 major university websites. MobileSphere provides a suite of telecommunications solutions to major universities across the country, including a number of ivy league schools and large state institutions. XE Mobile services allow students to obtain the most cost effective wireless rates by simply activating a phone, setting up an account and adding prepaid minutes. The no contract, no commitment "pay as you go" service is attractive to students and others across the county.

"XE Mobile provides its customers with fun and affordable mobile phones including the Nokia 6102 and the Motorola RAZR, nationwide coverage and access to the nation's largest student discount program, which offers discounts at 20,000 locations across the country," commented Mark Ghermezian, CEO of XE Mobile. "Now, through our partnership with MobileSphere, we can provide our customers further price discounts and flexibility by offering the lowest international wireless rates on the market today."
