VIENNA, Va. -- MobileAccess Networks, a leading provider of in-building wireless network solutions, announced today the promotion of Catherine Zatloukal to Chief Executive Officer and the appointment of Yair Oren to Chief Technology Officer. Combined Ms. Zatloukal and Mr. Oren have more than thirty-seven years of extensive knowledge and experience in the telecommunications industry.
After completing the most successful year in the company’s five-year history, Ms. Zatloukal was named President and CEO, with former CEO, Asaf Mohr, continuing his role as Chairman of the Board. Before joining MobileAccess as President in 2000, Ms. Zatloukal served as general manager for wireless office operations at Hughes Network Systems, a subsidiary of Hughes Electronics Corporation. In addition, Ms. Zatloukal has fourteen years of senior technical and product management experience at AT&T and Lucent Technologies. At Lucent, Ms. Zatloukal led product management for the CDMA wireless base stations that Lucent sells today.

For the past seventeen years Mr. Oren has been an innovator and pioneer in the telecom and datacom networking industry. He co-founded and served as CTO of Chromatis Networks, an optical networking company that was acquired by Lucent in 2000. Following the Chromatis acquisition, Mr. Oren served as CTO of Lucent’s Metro Optical Networking Unit. Prior to co-founding Chromatis, he served as Chief Architect for Scorpio Communications, an ATM switching company acquired by US Robotics in 1996. Early in his career, Mr. Oren spent six years with an elite technological unit of the Israeli Army managing mission-critical telecom and datacom system development projects.
