LONDON -- LogicaCMG today announced a contract with Telkomsel, the leading mobile operator in Indonesia, to deploy next generation multi-media messaging (MMS) services.

Telkomsel has launched MMS services to its eight million subscribers using LogicaCMG's Multimedia Messaging Service Centre (MMSC), making MMS available immediately to both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers. The new MMS services build on Telkomsel's existing messaging services and allow subscribers to send content-rich multimedia messages including photos, audio and video clips.

The MMS contract reaffirms LogicaCMG's status as primary messaging solutions provider to Telkomsel, which has already deployed LogicaCMG's SMS Centre, Wireless Service Broker as well as systems integration consultancy for billing solutions.

LogicaCMG's MMS solution provides Telkomsel with a low cost of ownership. It delivers advanced, centralised operation and maintenance functionality, which means that processes such as automatic provisioning require only a minimum of human intervention.
