AT&T struggles to defend open cloudiness of Ericsson deal
More than a year into the Ericsson-led rollout, there is very little evidence AT&T's radio access network is as multivendor and virtualized as the telco makes out.
8:30 AM Take a five-minute break from scouring Facebook, and take Light Reading's survey on social networking
8:30 AM -- This past year has seen a number of social networks fade away, a few more pop up and steal the show and even a few pull in big bucks for the simple ways they connect people.
Social media is clearly huge, but we don't need to tell you -- a savvy Light Reading reader -- that. Instead, we want you to tell us about it.
The spring CTIA show kicks off today in New Orleans, which seems like the perfect time to kick off our second annual survey on social media usage in the communications industry. (See Light Reading's 2011 Social Networking Survey.)
Last year 750 of you told us about your social media habits, and we were surprised to learn how popular LinkedIn was amongst communications professionals. This year, we're digging more into how you use LinkedIn, as well as taking the pulse of how you and your company use, monitor and feel about other sites like Facebook , Twitter, Google Plus and more.
Smartphone and tablet usage is also booming more than ever before, as we saw in our recent mobile life survey, so we included a few more questions about your mobile social networking usage too. (See Light Reading's 2012 Mobile Life Survey and Mobile Life 2012 Survey Slide Show.)
Click here to start the survey.
As a reward for your participation, a report on our findings will be available to all registered users of Light Reading in the coming months. It will be one of four reports we issue this year, with the first enterprise mobility survey and the third annual salary survey still to come. (Not yet registered? Do so right here -- it's easy and quick!)
And, if that's not enough incentive, we'll be randomly selecting survey takers who help us get more social to win Amazon gift cards. All you have to do is "like" Light Reading on Facebook.
So, please, accept our friendship, and take our survey!
