IXI Mobile receives $15M strategic investment from TLcom, Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures, Gemini Israel Funds, and Texas Instruments

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- IXI Mobile, Inc., provider of wireless software solutions for network operators, manufacturers and consumers, today announced the completion of the company's third-round of funding totaling $15 million. The round was led by TLcom Capital Partners, a pan-European venture capital company in the communications and information technology sector. Previous investors, Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures, Gemini Israel Funds and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), also participated in this round of funding. The funds will be used to accelerate international product development and marketing strategies. The company also announced that TLcom general partner Colin Watts is joining its board of directors. "IXI Mobile addresses a compelling opportunity to introduce new wireless devices and services to the consumer market," said Colin Watts, general partner at TLcom. "We are impressed by the company's momentum in attracting partners and customers and pleased to join this prestigious group of investors."
