LONDON -- Actix, the global provider of wireless network performance engineering solutions, today announced that Huawei Technologies, an international provider of customised network solutions for telecom carriers in optical, fixed, mobile and data communications networks, has selected Actix as the preferred supplier of 3G wireless performance engineering solutions, for the planning, roll-out, troubleshooting and optimisation of wireless networks. Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, Huawei Technologies is one the two largest telecommunications solutions providers in China with local customers including China Telecom, China Mobile, China Netcom and China Unicom. With eight international regional headquarters and 32 branch offices worldwide, Huawei supplies its products and services to customers in over 40 countries including: Germany, France, UK, Spain, Russia, Brazil, Thailand, Singapore and Egypt.

Actix' wireless performance engineering solutions are entirely vendor independent and enable operators to analyse raw wireless network data from a mix of network technologies, systems and data collection solutions in fine detail. This gives an end-to-end picture of vital wireless functions and the quality of service delivery from the subscriber's perspective; it also enables engineers to 'drill down' to the root cause of any deficiencies. Some of the operators using Actix' 3G solutions include: SKT Korea, FET Taiwan, Orange France, 3GIS, Hutchison 3G UK, Swisscom, Mobilkom, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Bell Mobility, Sprint PCS, and Qwest Wireless.

Huangyunpeng, Senior Manager, Radio Network Department, Huawei Technologies said, "To ensure steady and sustainable growth, and to sharpen our core competitive edge, partnering with other leading global telecommunications players is key for Huawei."
