Hopling Technologies releases new version of its HopWARE software for intelligent wireless meshed networks

ALMERE and AMSTERDAM -- Hopling Technologies, a globalleader in wireless networking equipment for enterprises, operators andservice providers, today announced the commercial availability of thenewestversion of Hopling Technologies sophisticated HopWARE software forintelligent wireless meshed network solutions. The company is also proudtoannounce that HotSpot Amsterdam updated its operational network in oneweekend using the new scripting update facilities of the release.

Last month Hotspot Amsterdam and Hopling Technologies were invited toattendthe McKinsey Global Telecoms Conference, to demonstrate a Mesh WifiNetwork,based on a pre-release of 2.3, for use of conference guests. The networkwasdesigned to demonstrate the capabilities of WiFi Mesh Networking forInternet access across the site, and demonstrate the potential for WiFiVoIPMobile phone calls. The demo network was built up in less than one hour,wasoperational for the duration of the event, and was utilized by a largenumber of conference guests, and various demonstrations of VoIP overWiFiwere successfully completed.

Version 2.3 of the HopWARE software delivers extensive Quality ofServicesand Voice over Internet Protocol for WiFi based on standard SIPtechnology.In addition to the new VoIP enabled capabilities, version 2.3 providesnewautomated features that speed installation and improve service quality.Dueto the intelligent update scripting facilities installing the newrelease isjust a matter of typing the right command. The software includes anumber offeatures to create multiple virtual networks, to ease installation andmanagement of a broadband wireless infrastructure for both enterprisesandservice providers and, in particular, delivers new revenue opportunitiesandimproved profitability for wireless Internet Service Providers.
