Multichannel T1/E1/J1 line interface units support both long- and short-haul

:FREMONT, Calif. -- Exar Corporation (Nasdaq:EXAR),a leading provider of high-performance, mixed-signal silicon solutions fortheworldwide communications infrastructure augmented its T1/E1/J1 offeringstodaywith the introduction of a new low power, highly integrated LIU productfamily. Joining an already robust short-haul T1/E1 product portfolio, thesenew devices extend Exar's reach to long-haul (6,000 ft) applications foundextensively between access and metro networks. In one, four, andeight-channelconfigurations, the XRT83L30/34/38 product family targets Multi-ServiceProvisioning Platforms (MSPPs), access devices, media gateways, routers,framerelay access devices, and wireless base stations. "These new devices offer unique features which positions them well forhigh port density requirements found in optical access applications," saidDr. Roubik Gregorian, senior VP and general manager Communications Division,CTO.
