NEWBURY, U.K. -- Further to the announcement on 11 August 2003, Vodafone Group Plc ("Vodafone Group") announces that Vodafone UK Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vodafone Group, has received EU merger clearance in respect of its acquisition of Singlepoint (4U) Limited. The transaction is expected to complete on Monday 22 September 2003.
