Codeon Opens New Plant

Opens 55,000 square-foot manufacturing facility and launches production of high-speed fiber optic components

COLUMBIA, Md. -- CODEON Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge optical components for the fiber optic telecommunications industry, today announced it has opened a state-of-the-art headquarters and manufacturing facility, and has launched production of its core product portfolio. The new building is a 55,000 square foot facility located in the Greater Washington, D.C. Baltimore technology corridor at 9112 Guilford Road in Columbia, Maryland. CODEON's new facility features expansive "clean rooms" for wafer fabrication and component assembly, bringing to the optical marketplace much needed manufacturing capacity. Also located in the new facility will be key corporate functions including sales, marketing, customer support, finance, legal and human resources. Research and development will continue operations at an adjacent location 9108A Guilford Road.
