Clearwire & Friends Expand WiMax in Philly

Regional Philadelphia WiMax network covers 4.37 million people

KIRKLAND, Wash. -- Clearwire (NASDAQ: CLWR), Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSK) and Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced a significant expansion of the Clearwire 4G network footprint and key capacity upgrades for mobile broadband customers in the greater Philadelphia metro area. The regional CLEAR, XFINITY Internet 2go and Sprint 4G service area has added coverage for an additional 912,000 people. Now, more than 4.37 million people in the Philadelphia area have access to Clearwire's 4G mobile broadband network. This expansion represents new coverage since Clearwire's initial launch on October 22, 2009.

Enhanced capacity and expanded coverage can be experienced in the following New Jersey communities: Audubon, Barrington, Bellmawr, Berlin, Blackwood, Burlington, Collingswood, Echelon, Gibbstown, Glendora, Gloucester City, Haddon Heights, Marlton, Moorestown-Lenola, Pennsauken, Pine Hill, Runnemede, Somerdale, Stratford and Woodbury. Enhanced capacity and expanded coverage can be experienced in the following Philadelphia communities: Ardmore, Blue Bell, Broomall, Drexel Hill, Gilbertsville, Halfway House, Harleysville, Horsham, Kenilworth, Levittown, Norristown, Philadelphia, Phoenixville, Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Radnor Township, Sanatoga, South Pottstown, Stowe, West Chester, West Goshen, and Willow Grove.
